7th ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE, SUN JAN 12th, 2014, 10:00am-4:00pm: The annual St Louis Jewish Community Blood Drive will once again be combined with the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry Drive. sunday JAN 26: Retying the Knot, Unchaining the Agunah: Join us for a community event, co-sponsored by Young Israel, Nusach Hari B'nai Zion, and Bais Abraham Congregation, as we recommit to our spouses and commit to ending the agunah crisis in the Jewish community. Venue: Bais Abraham Congregation. 4:00 pm - Rabbi Yona Reiss, Av Beth Din of the Chicago Rabbinical Council will give the Keynote Address, introduced by our own Rabbi Shulman. 5:30 pm - Post-Nup signing, 6:00 pm – Celebration. All are welcome - married and unmarried. $18 suggested donation. A portion of your donation will go to organizations that help free agunot. Qualifies for 1.2 Missouri-CLE credits. Childcare will be available.

SHABBAT JAN 18 – BOSTONER REBBE - St. Louis will host the venerated Bostoner Rebbe, Rabbi Mayer Alter Horowitz Shlit”a. Rabbi Horowitz is an American-born Rebbe, and son of the renowned Bostoner Rebbe zt”l Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Horowitz. The program will include a number of community events during the week and over Shabbat, and a special Seudah Shlishit held here at Young Israel. Stay tuned for details and times.
