YI PURIM SEUDAH

This year, the Young Israel will be joining with Epstein Hebrew Academy for a mid-morning Purim Seudah!  Full details are on the flyer and registration form.  The Seudah will be at 10:45am Purim morning, at EHA.  Please register early.

 

Yeshiva University presents a Community Weekend of Learning. Spirituality: Tuning Into Our Emotional Self, hosted by Young Israel on March 28-30. Featuring Dr. David Pelcovitz. Details were mailed and are posted on the bulletin board.

YOUTH ONGEI SHABBAT

Rabbi & Mrs. Shulman will host an Oneg Shabbat for HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS, tonight, at their home, beginning at 9:45pm.

 

The Shulman’s will also be hosting an NCSY Oneg Shabbat NEXT Friday night (Shushan Purim), also at 9:45pm

Shul Boxes:  There are five boxes without name plates that currently have items in them.  Please remove these items so that individuals who want to rent a box may do so.  Thank you.

 

The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry is in need of food donations. Some of our youth, lead by Elan Ariel, will be organizing donations of canned goods on Purim to this worthy cause.  They will have a box at the shul Purim night.  If you could be so kind as to help by filling it with canned goods, they will make sure the boxes are delivered to the Food Pantry.

 

Save the date – Thursday, May 1 for the 2008 community-wide Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance Commemoration, hosted by the St. Louis Holocaust Museum and Learning Center.  The theme, “Broken Glass, Shattered Lives,” will honor the 70th Anniversary of Kristallnacht (the Night of Broken Glass), 7-9 PM at United Hebrew Congregation.
