ISRAELI DINNER AT YOUNG ISRAEL: Sunday, March 23rd, 5-7 pm, prepared by Chef Elchanan, with a raffle drawing at 6:30 pm.  Falafel, French Fries, dessert, and drink for $9.99/order; by reservation only by March 20th. To reserve dinner and/or purchase raffle tickets, email bonitaellen@yahoo.com or call Bonnie at 314-503-2792.  Dinner proceeds will benefit the shul, and we are hopeful that we can continue to offer Chef Elchanan’s falafel evenings in the future as well.  All raffle proceeds will go to Epstein Hebrew Academy and other community organizations of your choice, as per the information printed on the raffle ticket!

WOMEN’S DIVISION

NEW CALENDARS HAVE ARRIVED: Due to the number of errors found in the calendar, it has been reviewed and reprinted. New ones are available for pick up in the office.

SCHOOL NEWS

JEW IN THE CITY: Epstein Hebrew Academy and NCSY will host Allison Josephs, Founder of Jew in the City on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the school (1138 N. Warson Rd.). The program is entitled "Finding God in Hawaii: a childhood existential crisis, a search for meaning, and the life-changing answers found in a tropical rain forest" and will feature a dairy dessert reception. $18 suggested donation - men, women & teens are welcome to attend. TORAH PREP PURIM CARNIVAL: Sunday, 3/9, 12:–2:30 pm, at Torah Prep Girls School, for families and children: girls through 6th grade and boys through 2nd grade. $7/child, ages 2 and up, with a $35 family max, which includes activities, popcorn and cotton candy. Purim costumes are encouraged. All proceeds to the 8th grade girls fund raising.

MTI DINNER: 7th Annual Dinner has been rescheduled, because of the inclement weather last week, for this Sunday, March 9th, at the Marriott West, 660 Maryville Center Drive, honoring Dr. Michael & Judy Shapiro and the first graduating Beis Medrash class. Cocktails: 5:30 pm, Dinner: 6:30 pm.

ANNUAL RUBIN FELDMAN MEMORIAL LECTURE: “Survivor Testimony on Film: Faith & Courage Amid the Shoah”, Tuesday, March 11, 7:30 pm, at the Holocaust Museum and Learning Center, 12 Millstone Campus Dr. Rabbi Dovid Bernstein will screen segments of the film V’nikdashti (“And I Will be Sanctified”) and discuss how filmed testimonies of acts of faith during the Shoah are being used as an education resource.Light reception to follow program.
