WOMEN’S DIVISION

NEW CALENDARS HAVE ARRIVED: Due to the number of errors found in the calendar, it has been reviewed and reprinted. The new ones are in the office and are available for pick up.

COMMUNITY-WIDE RENEWED AWARENESS: A thorough review on how to check produce for bugs presented by Rabbi Zvi Zuravin, Executive Director of the Vaad Hoeir, on Tuesday, March 4th, 7:45 pm in the Young Israel social hall. ESTHER’S EXPRESS: YI Women’s Division is once again creating beautiful Mishloach Manot baskets for Purim. Forms were mailed this week. Please return your form and check, made to the Women’s Division, to the office no later than Wednesday, March 5thnote the extension. YKHS INAUGURAL EVENT: Join us in celebrating Yeshivat Kadimah High School, an innovative and creative new approach to Jewish high school education. Saturday night, Motzei Shabbat, March 1, 2014, 8:00 pm, at the newly renovated St. Louis Public Library.

Exercise for Education!2-hour Fun Dance Class led by Jill Abrams to benefit our high schools: Block Yeshiva High School, Esther Miller Bais Yaakov, Missouri Torah Institute and Yeshivat Kadimah High School. SIYUM CELEBRATION: As part of celebrating the completion of Mesechtes Pesachim by the Rabbis of the St Louis Kollel, there will be Sunday morning learning at Agudas Israel sponsored by Dov & Tziona Zeffren in memory of Dov’s parents, Dr Lester and Matilda Zeffren. ANNUAL RUBIN FELDMAN MEMORIAL LECTURE: “Survivor Testimony on Film: Faith & Courage Amid the Shoah”, Tuesday, March 11, 7:30 pm, at the Holocaust Museum and Learning Center, 12 Millstone Campus Dr. Rabbi Dovid Bernstein will screen segments of the film V’nikdashti (“And I Will be Sanctified”) and discuss how filmed testimonies of acts of faith during the Shoah are being used as an education resource.Light reception to follow program.
