SHUL ANNOUNCEMENTS

WELCOME TO THE BOSTONER REBBE - St. Louis is hosting the venerated Bostoner Rebbe, Rabbi Mayer Alter Horowitz, Shlit”a.  Rabbi Horowitz is an American-born Rebbe, and son of the renowned Bostoner Rebbe, zt”l, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Horowitz. A special Seudah Shlishit will be held here at Young Israel.

Leil Shabbos Tisch – Friday night after the Seudah at the home of Rav Yari (8160 Balson – Swarthmore entrance).

Seudah Shlishit & End of Shabbat Schedule

4:25 pm Mincha – (please note the earlier time for Mincha)

Seudah Shlishit will be plated, rather than buffet style, this Shabbat.  There are tables set up and designated for women.  The Rebbe will sit at the head table and make Hamotzi for everyone.  Therefore please wash netilat yadayim and find a seat as you make your way into the Social Hall.

End of Shabbat & Ma’ariv: While we usually end Shabbat at the normal time (5:49 pm), the practice of the Rebbe is to end in accordance with Zman Rabeinu Tam, 30 minutes later (6:18 pm).  We will, therefore, continue Seudah Shlishit with the Rebbe until that time and daven Ma’ariv upstairs at 6:15 pm.  However, in order not to disrupt the routine of the Shul, we will bench earlier, at the regular zman, and there will be a Ma’ariv minyan downstairs in the Beit Midrash at 5:45 pm.

~ ~ ~

The Rebbe will be available by appointment to meet with people in University City on Sunday afternoon & evening, Jan 19th. To reserve an appointment with the Rebbe, shlit”a, please contact the Rebbe’s secretary at bostonrebbe@gmail.com or 347-265-9248.
