THANK YOU: Thank you to Danny & Sara Wachsstock who are the ushers this week for the youth groups.

RABBI’S WEDNESDAY NIGHT CLASS: will not be taking place this week, due to the community lecture by Smadar Goldstein.

WINTER PARENT/CHILD LEARNING: Our Motzei Shabbat parent/child learning for children grades K and up will resume November 9th; each session will begin 45 minutes after Shabbat ends. Sponsorships of $36 are available.

SAVE THE DATE FOR THE WELCOME DINNER: The annual dinner, this year being co-sponsored by Young Israel and Torah MiTzion Kollel, to welcome the new people in our Young Israel community and our new bnot sherut, is being planned for December 6th and will be chaired by Suzanne Sundy. SCHOOL NEWS

Cutting edge education technology, currently in use at Yeshivat Kadimah High School in St. Louis, will be on display on Wednesday, November 6th as Smadar Goldstein of Jerusalem, co-Founder of JETS (Jewish EdTech Solutions), Judaic Online & Distance Learning Providers, will showcase the latest online educational tools. Her presentation, “Tearing Down Classroom Walls,” will highlight how YKHS students are learning Jewish history through video conferencing, online forums, student-created multi-media projects, & more. These 21st century interactive tools allow students to assimilate subject matter more thoroughly and creatively than through a traditional lecture and test format. The presentation begins at 7:30 pm and takes place in the Beit Midrash, shared by Yeshivat Kadimah, in the Epstein Hebrew Academy campus.

TOMCHEI SHABBOS COOKBOOK:A new project by Tomchei Shabbos – The Tomchei Shabbos cookbook. Help us name our new cookbook.  The name should reflect the values and core beliefs of Tomchei Shabbos. The St. Louis Wedding Dresses G’mach is in need of a new home:The G’mach has been housed in the home of Faye and Earl Newman for several years, and now needs to relocate. The G’mach serves the entire community by providing bridal gowns, mother-of-the-bride/groom gowns, bridesmaids gowns, and flower girl dresses free of charge. An evening including a bonfire, s’mores, and a movie complete with theater popcorn, Saturday night, November 2, 8- 10:15 pm at the NCSY office at Epstein. Cost: $5/person. Bring a new Jr NCSY’er and come for free.
