Rabbi Shulman will be attending the RCA convention, and then continuing on to Israel, for the annual Tanach Conference hosted by Yeshivat Har Etzion, in the Gush. This year, the Rabbi has been invited deliver one of the lectures at this conference. SHUL ANNOUNCEMENTS
SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE: This week we are pleased to host Rabbi Eli Baruch Shulman, Rosh Yeshiva at “Yeshivat Rabeinu Yitzchok Elchonon” (YU), author of several seforim in Talmud learning, under the title “Yisamach Av”, the Rov of the Young Israel of Midwood, and the brother of our own Rabbi Shulman. Rabbi Eli Baruch Shulman will be delivering the drasha Shabbat morning, as well as giving the shiur before Mincha. We extend to Rabbi Shulman, his wife Esti, and their family a very warm welcome to St. Louis on their first visit to our community.

ANNUAL COMMUNITY-WIDE EVENT: Sunday, July 7th, 12:45 pm, at Young Israel. The speaker will be Prof. Smadar Rosensweig, who is a professor of Bible at Stern College for Women at Yeshiva University, as well as a professor of Biblical Studies at Allegra Franco Sephardic Women’s Teachers College. The topic of Prof. Rosensweig’s talk will be: “What is the Impact of Haftaras Nahamu on our Concept of Nehama (Consolation)?” The event is sponsored by the Sarah Adelman Memorial Fund. Minimum donation: $18/family.
Prior to Prof. Rosensweig's presentation, Yitzchok Adelman will be making a siyyum upon the completion of his learning of all six books of the Mishna. The topic of his siyyum will be "The significance of the number '7' in Judaism". His presentation will begin at 11:45 a.m. The fund is seeking sponsors for both presentations at the minimum cost of $100. Sponsors are invited to the siyyum, which will include lunch.
LOST & FOUND: All items that have been left in Shul have been moved to the downstairs coat rack. Please check to see if any of your things are there. Items will be donated on Monday morning, July 8th.

CHESS CLASSES: Session 1 at Young Israel will be: June 26 – July 11, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (July 4th is an optional class). K-3rd grade: 4:30 – 5:15 pm, 4th – 8th grade: 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Cost: $50/session. Please contact Aleksey Kazakevich at akazakev@slu.edu for fees or to register.
CAMP NORAH: is an exciting half-day camp for children ages (approx.) 3-5 from July 22 -- August 9.
