AIPAC POLICY CONFERENCE 2013 YOUNG ISRAEL DELEGATION: We wish our AIPAC Young Israel Delegation a tzeitchem le’shalom as they embark on our shul’s first Synagogue Delegation to the AIPAC Policy Conference, together with Rabbi Shulman.  Yeyasher Kochachem to all of our attendees: Alan & Jackie Gerson, Dr. Dorit Daphna‑Iken, Andy Koshner, Aaron Koshner, David & Jill Mogil, Myra Peskin, Alex Peskin, and David & Sharon Pollack.  Congratulations also to the student delegation from the Senator John Danforth Israel Scholars Program, a program of JSU, which is sending the largest student group from St. Louis, including our members: Andrew Adler, Yael Simon, Ariel Baron, and David IkenYeyasher Kochachem to you!  We eagerly look forward to hearing from all of our AIPAC PC 2013 participants upon their return!

RABBI’S CLASSES: With the Rabbi attending the AIPAC Conference, his Sunday and Monday classes this week will not be taking place this week.  The Tuesday women’s Parsha class will be taught by Rabbi Mintz.

The Rabbi’s second pre-Pesach halacha class will take on Monday, March 11th, at 8:00 pm.

NOTE: The Rabbi’s Monday morning Tanach class and Monday evening Talmud classes are now on hiatus until after Pesach.

YOUNG ISRAEL WOMEN'S DIVISION

Women’s Division “Frumba” Class:“Frumba” will be on Sunday March 3rd this week, 2:00 – 3:30 pm, in the social hall.

SCHOOL NEWS

Basketball Rivalry: Block Yeshiva will face MTI in the final boys basketball game of the season this Saturday night (March 2nd) at the EHA Gym, 1138 N. Warson Rd. Senior Night Ceremony at 8:00 PM followed by tip-off at 8:15 pm. (Teenage girls are kindly requested not to attend.)

BYHS BOYS TRIVIA & BASKETBALL: for BYHS & 8th grade boys, Sat night, March 9. Trivia: Girls School at 8:00 pm ; Basketball: EHA gym at 9:30 pm. Cost: Free.

JSU NEWS

Jewish Student Union (JSU) GALA INSPIRE A JEWISH TOMORROW! March 9, 2013, at the Coronado Ballroom. Honoring Michael and Carol Staenberg, with special tribute to Rick Kodner and Gail Brody. The Meira Bresler Riemer Scholarship Fund will be inaugurated. Meira was passionately involved in inspiring the youth of both JSU and NCSY. This National fund, administered by the OU, has been established to provide these youth with opportunities to enhance their Jewish identity and love for Israel.
