COMMUNITY NEWS

YACHAD MEETING: Yachad St. Louis is now a reality! Parents are invited to meet with Batya Jacob, from the national Yachad office, for an information and planning meeting this upcoming Sunday, October 14 at Young Israel, at 7:00 pm. The meeting is an opportunity to offer your suggestions and ideas as to how we can service your child and meet your family’s needs.

FIRST YACHAD PROGRAM: An interactive Mad Science program on Sunday, October 28, from 4:00-5:30 pm at Young Israel. The cost is $5 for Yachad members and $10 for non-Yachad members. It is important that we have peer mentors and assistants at the programs. SUPPORT TOMCHEI SHABBOS! Tomchei Shabbos is in need of supplies such as foil pans, paper products (e.g., paper towels, tissues, toilet tissue), and Ziplocs of all sizes. NCSY NEWS

SR Fall Shabbaton: Calling all teens in grades 9-12. We will be joining 200 other teens from the Midwest in Minneapolis for the SR Fall Shabbaton October 19-21. JR Fall Shabbaton - St. Louis will be the host for the JR Fall Shabbaton November 30-December 2. We are in need of LOTS of housing. (We are expecting to need to house 200 ppl). If you live within walking distance of U. City Shul, please consider opening up your home to these young men and women. The NCSYers are in grades 5-8 and each house will have a high school or college staff person supervising the NCSYers.
