SHIURIM / CLASS INFORMATION

RABBI SHULMAN'S CLASSES: The Rabbi's classes are on hiatus for 2 weeks, as he and his family are going to NY for weddings. We wish the Rabbi and his family Mazal Tov on his niece's forthcoming wedding.

WINTER PARENT/CHILD LEARNING: Our Motzei Shabbat parent/child learning for children grades K-5 will resume November 12th; each session will begin 1 hour after Shabbat ends. Sponsorships of $36 are available.

ADDITION TO MONDAY NIGHT BEIT MIDRASH: We now have learning on Monday nights for the teens of our community. Classes are for both boys and girls, and will be taught by Rabbi Gershie and Tzippy Meisel, respectively.

NEW MEMBER DINNER: Join us for Shabbat Dinner on Friday, November 18th, to welcome our new members to Young Israel and to our community. RABBI FRANK & ADELE HOFFMAN SHABBAT CHINUCH will be held Shabbat Chaya Sarah, November 19th, for children in kindergarten and 1st grade. We ask that each family send in a photo of your child/grandchild via email to Sara Greene at sargreene@yahoo.com. The photos will be used to decorate the social hall. Sponsorships for the kiddush are available and welcomed. We have lists from EHA, Torah Prep, RJA, and Solomon Schechter. Please let the office know if you have a child or grandchild in another school, so that he/she can be included.

SAVE THE DATE: St Louis Torah MiTzion Kollel will be hosting the North America TMK Shabbaton, December 2nd – 3rd. The entire community is invited to join the Torah MiTzion Kollel on Saturday night, December 3rd, for their Gala Fundraising Dinner, to be held at the Clayton Commons.

TOMCHEI SHABBOS: Unfortunately, the need for Tomchei Shabbos has grown and the supply is low. We need to make an ongoing commitment to drop off food on a regular basis. When you "buy one get one free", why not donate the extra one to Tomchei Shabbos? There is a box downstairs outside the office for donations of any cans or dry goods.

THE ST LOUIS WEDDING DRESS GMACH has a wide selection of beautiful bridal gowns, as well as mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, all suitable for Orthodox weddings. We also have some lovely matching flower girl dresses, and some tuxedos for little boys. The Gmach is here to serve the community - all dresses are loaned free of charge. TORAH MiTZION KOLLEL NEWS

·                                                                                                                                             TMK MOVIE: Saturday night November 5th, 8 pm at the home of Izzy & Joe Yazdi, 716 Brittany Lane, the Torah MiTzion Film Club will be screening Inbar Namdar's award winning 32-minute film, "A Shabbos Mother" in Hebrew with English subtitles. Boaz Shachak, the editor of this film and a graduate of the Ma'aleh Film School, will give insight into the editing process.

·                                                                                                                                             Torah MiTzion Rosh Chodesh Mar Cheshvan Women's Celebration will be held this month on the 11th day of Cheshvan, November 8th, the yartzheit of Rachel Emainu At the home of Yael Zaidel 1000 Chartres @ 8:00 pm featuring an introduction to Playback Theatre, an original form of improvisational theatre in which audience or group members tell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot. Our topic will be "parenthood".
