PARENT/CHILD MOTZEI SHABBAT LEARNING:At Young Israel for grades 1-8, 7:15 pm.  This will be the last session of the season.

RABBI’S CLASSES:Rabbi Shulman’s weekday classes on Monday am & pm and Wednesday pm are cancelled for this week only, as he will be out of town at a YU Rabbinic conference.

MATZAH ORDERS: Orders forms have been sent. The absolute deadline for pre-paid orders is Wednesday, March 9th. Please send in your orders ASAP.  When you are preparing your order, please consider donating an extra box of matzah to help the Barbara Mendelson Tomchei Shabbos Fund.

SALON: The next Young Couples Salon will be this Motezi Shabbat, February 26th,at the Lubchansky home, 7337 Stanford. at 8:15 pm.

SPECIAL LECTURE: Rebbetzin Esther Shkop, Ph.D., Dean, Blitstein Institue of HTC (TI), Chicago, IL will be speaking at Young Israel this Sunday, February 27th, at 11 am. Her topic is: “Form & Meaning in Tehillim; an Analysis of Tehillim 19 “.

WOMEN’S SHIUR: We invite all women of the community to join us on March 5th, Parashat Pekude, for the next in the Matil Ziril (Matilda Zeffren) Series of Shabbat afternoon shiurim. The shiur will be at the home of Jackie Gerson, 8323 Cornell, at 3:20 pm. The speaker will be Zahava List.

MOVIE AND SCHMOOZE: Come see, “The Exodus Decoded,” on Motzei Shabbat March 5th, 8:00 pm at Young Israel. $3/person, $5/couple.

ISRAELI DANCING: All women and high school girls are invited to an evening of Israeli dancing led by Rachel Armoza. on Sunday, March 6th, 8:00 pm at Young Israel. Suggested donation: is $5.

PARTICIPANTS NEEDED: Bais Abraham has challenged Young Israel to an anagram tournament. If a team of at least 4 'anagramists' can be formed, the face-off will occur on two nights (one each at Young Israel and Bais Abraham). Each anagramist will contribute a few dollars per game and the money will be donated to the winning team's shul. Please contact Mickey Ariel (arielm@slu.edu) to join our Young Israel team.

Purim is March 20th - It’s time for “Esther’s Express”!  The Young Israel Women’s Division is once again offering its beautiful, themed Mishloach Manot Packages. For $120, send a beautiful Mishloach Manot gift package to the entire shul. Each family will receive a personalized card listing the donors that send to them. For $10/household, send Mishloach Manot to individual shul members. For $25/basket, send Mishloach Manot to non-shul members. RE-SCHEDULED COMMUNITY LECTURE:
Dan Senor, co-author of the best-sellerStart-Up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle” will discuss Israel’s meteoric rise as an entrepreneurial power house and what the US can learn from it on Thursday, March 3rd at 4 pm in Graham Chapel at Washington University. BNEI AKIVA NEWS

As part of “World Wide Bnei Akiva Chessed Day” on March 6th, Bnei Akiva of St. Louis is collecting the following:

·                                                                                                                                             Ingredients to make challah and hamantashen for Tomchei Shabbos. Monetary donations are also welcome in order to purchase ingredients.

·                                                                                                                                             Treats and candy for Mishloach Manot to be given to Tomchei Shabbos as well. 

·                                                                                                                                             Used toys and books for Young Israel’s Shabbat groups

·                                                                                                                                             Used shoes and coats for donation
