SHUL PROGRAMS

SNOW REMOVAL: We have a new arrangement for early morning snow removal in the parking lot to be completed by 6:15am. This is just the parking lot – not the front patio. That will be done later in the morning.

PARENT/CHILD MOTZEI SHABBAT LEARNING:At Young Israel for grades 1-8, 6:30 pm.

MONDAY NIGHT LEARNING: Our Beit Midrash learning on Monday nights continues at 8:00 pm every week and concludes at 9:30 pm with Ma’ariv.

ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE: The 4th Annual St Louis Jewish Community Blood Drive will be this Sunday, January 16th 10 am-4 pm. Please bring non-perishable items for the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry Drive. Volunteers are needed to help break down the Shul on Motzei Shabbat and to reset it Sunday afternoon, after the drive. Walk-in donors are welcome, but appointments take priority.

BOOK CLUB: We are reading “Future Tense” by Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. The next meeting will be Sunday, January 23rd, 7:00 pm at the Sukhodolsky home, 8127 Amherst. Rabbi Shulman will be leading the discussion.

WOMEN’S SHIUR: We invite all the women of the community to join us as we resume The Matil Ziril (Matilda Zeffren) Series of Shabbat afternoon shiurim, on January 29, Parashat Mishpatim, at the home of Sunny Davis, 8035 Cornell at 3:00 pm. The speaker will be Allison Zaromb. The next shiur will be Saturday, March 5th, Parashat Pekudei. The speaker will be Zahava List.

TRIVIA NIGHT: Block Yeshiva High School is holding a Trivia Night this Saturday night, January 15th. Doors open at 6:45 pm Trivia starts at 7:30 pm. $18.00 at the door. ST LOUIS JEWISH SPEAKER SERIES: The annual Rabbi Noach Weinberg lecture will be this Sunday, January 16, 2011, 7:00-9:00 pm at The Gloria & Rubin Feldman Aish HaTorah West Centerfor Jewish Studies “The Firehouse”, 457 N.
