Our condolences to the Friedman and Wolfe families on the passing of Debbie and Michelle’s mother, Ellen Pinnas, in Tucson, AZ. They are sitting shiva in Tucson through Monday morning and can be reached at 520-790-9561. May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

TISHA B’AV VIDEO PROGRAM: This year we will be showing a series of 4 videos sponsored by the OU, entitled, “Lamenting our Loss”. The schedule is as follows:

HAVERIM BOOK CLUB: We are reading "The Coffee Trader” by David Liss. The book is available at the Brodsky library. The next discussion will be Shabbat, July 17, at 5:00 pm at the Sukhodolsky home. The book club is asking for recommendations for books to read. Anyone recommending a book to the club will then have the opportunity to lead the discussion about the book at a Book Club meeting.

WOMEN’S SHIUR: The next women’s shiur will be July 24th, at 4:45 pm, given by Lisa Goldenhersh. Alison Zaromb will be giving the shiur on August 7th.

FAREWELL OPEN HOUSE: We wish a fond farewell to Carl & Sarah Aschkenasi on July 25th, 8-10 pm, at the Zaromb home , 8289 Tulane Ave, as they soon will make aliyah to Israel. We wish them much success in their new endeavors.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME: The 4th Annual Cardinal Baseball Event will be Tuesday, August 17th against the Milwaukee Brewers. The game begins at 7:15 pm. Cost is $9.50/adult and $7/child. A Mincha/Maariv minyan will be held at the ballpark. Please contact the office for tickets by Monday, July 22nd to secure these prices.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Young Israel/TMK annual picnic is being planned for Sunday, September 5th, at Irv Zeid Park, 9200 Old Bonhomme (between McKnight & Price, next to Logos School), at 4:30 pm.

UNVEILING: The monument unveiling for Erna Waltuch will be Sunday, July 18th, 1:00 pm, at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery West, White Road.

SPECIAL FILM PROGRAM ON TISHA B’AV: The Holocaust Museum & Learning Center presents a 50-minute film, Keep the Connection, on Tisha B’Av – Tuesday, July 20th, at 2 pm, at the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building.
