SHUL PROGRAMS

YOUTH GROUPS: 10:00 -11:30am every Shabbat until summer vacation. Groups will be for 2yr olds – pre-k, k - 2nd, 3rd - 5th boys, and 3rd - 5th girls. In addition parents will supervise the halls during group time. Children must be downstairs behaving in groups or with their parents in Shul and at 11:30 everyone will go into shul for end of davening.

MICHLALAH CAMPAIGN: Donations are still being accepted for the fund for Meira Bresler. Please make checks payable to: Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund, Memo - Michlalah Campaign and bring or send to the office.

HAVERIM BOOK CLUB: Saturday night, March 13th, at the Sukhodolsky home, 8127 Amherst, at 7:30 pm, and will discuss “A Letter in the Scroll” by Rabbi Jonathan Sacks.

YOUNG COUPLES SALON: Saturday night, March 13th, at the Lubchansky home, 7337 Stanford, at 8:15pm, with a discussion about Pesach.

RABBI MENACHEM NISSEL: Will speak at Young Israel, Wednesday, March 17th, 7:30-8:30 pm. His topic, “Refa’aynu: The Secret of Healing”, is in the merit of a refuah shlayma for Meira Bresler Reimer (Meira Mindel bas Chava Golda) and the other cholim in our community. The lecture is sponsored by friends of the Breslers and NCSY. To participate in this zechut for Meira, please contact Rabbi Mike Rovinsky or Howard Oppenheimer.

CLASSES: The Rabbi’s Wednesday night classes this week are cancelled to allow for Rabbi Nissel’s lecture.

PRE-PESACH CLASS: The annual pre-Pesach class with Rabbi Shulman will be Thursday night, March 18th, 8:00 pm.

SHABBAT HaGADOL DRASHA: With Rabbi Shulman March 27th at 5:15 pm: “From Freedom to Slavery???”

CHOMETZ FORMS: Please arrange with the Rabbi to sell your chometz as soon as possible. Arrangements must be made by Wednesday, March 24th.

PRE-PESACH DINING OUT:

One less meal to prepare before Pesach. Come to Young Israel’s Burgers Bar Night, Wednesday March 24th, 5:30-7:30 pm.

New Members Dinner will be Friday, March 26th, after davening-about 7:30pm. In addition to welcoming all of our new members, you can keep you challah crumbs to a minimun RSVP with pre-payment by March 24th. $15.00 per adult & children 12 & up. $7.00 for children under 12. $50.00 max per family


LOST & FOUND CLEAN-UP: All items (coats, books, shoes, etc) that have been left in the shul are now downstairs on or above the coat rack. Please check there if you have lost something. These items will be donated to other organizations on Wednesday, March 24th.


ELECTION NEWS

The upcoming election will take place on April 6th, the last day of Pesach. Everyone needs to get an absentee ballot. Ballot requests can be found in the lobby or online at http://www.co.st-louis.mo.us/ELECTIONS/ABSENTEEFAQ.html. Requests must be received in the election office by Wednesday, March 31st.
