MAZEL TOV

Mazel Tov to Elana & Jimmy Fendelman on the recent birth of a son. Mazel Tov to grandparents, Maier & Phyllis Sadwin. The shalom zachor will be at the Fendelman’s, 8158 Amherst, at 8:00 pm. The brit milah will be Sunday morning, at Agudah, immediately following shacharit for the fast day. The seudat mitzvah will take place at Agudah Sunday afternoon at 5:30 pm.

HELP NEEDED: This is Gary’s vacation weekend, so volunteers are needed to clean up after Kiddush, set up Seudah Shlishit, and clean up after Seudah Shlishit. It won’t take long if everyone stays to help.

SUN JAN 3RD - BOOK CLUB-“HAVERIM”:

At the home of Natalie and Jacob Sukhodolsky 8127 Amherst Ave, time-tba.  Please bring the title and the author of the book(s) you would like to suggest for book club reading. It can be either a book you have already read and highly recommend or one that was recommended to you. The book should be one either written by a Jewish author or on a Jewish theme.

SUN JAN 17TH 2010 – 3RD ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE:

The drive will take place at Young Israel from 10am – 4pm. In conjunction with the blood drive there will be a Harvey Kornblum Food Pantry Drive. Please bring non-perishable items. SUN JAN 24TH 2010 – YI ANNUAL DINNER:

At this year’s annual Shul dinner, we will honor Drs. Stan Biel and Leila Redlich, and present the Distinguished Service Award to Jackie Gerson. The dinner will feature Chicago’s musical sensation, a cappella group, ‘LISTEN UP!’ (for more info on them, see www.jewishsong.com)

THE ST LOUIS WEDDING DRESSES G’MACH: A free loan society serving the Jewish community. Dresses for the bride, mother of the bride or groom, and bridesmaids. Specializing in modest dresses. Mishnat Pinchas: Mishnat Pinchas continues on Shabbat starting 5 minutes after Kiddush.
