DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT RAINCOAT?: We now have 3 raincoats that have apparently walked home with the wrong owners. They belong to Alan Kandel, Danny Wachsstock and Lilly Levi. If you find any of them in your closet, please call the Shul office.

CLASSES: Dr Joe Feder’s Wednesday class will resume this week. The Rabbi’s classes will begin the week of Sunday, October 18th. You can pick up a schedule of classes in the lobby.

NCSY NEWS

TEEN DINNER: Sr NCSY (Grades 9-12) sponsored Simchat Torah Banquet after Hakafot on Saturday Night, Oct. 10th (Approx. 10:30 pm). All teens are invited. The event is free (although donations will be accepted before or after Yom Tov).

COMMUNITY NEWS

YU RECEPTION: Representatives from Yeshiva University’s Office of Admissions will be in St. Louis on Thursday, October 15th. In addition to speaking at BYHS during the day, there will be a reception for parents to hear information and ask questions, Thursday night, at BYHS, 1146 N Warson Rd, at 7:00 pm.

ENVIRONMENT AWAREWNESS: The JCRC is planning two events to raise awareness on environmental issues. They are: 1) Sunday, October 18th-Visit R Farm, 25873 State Highway 3, Dow, Il, 1:30-3:30 pm. Reservations are required. For info, contact Gail at 442-3894. 2) Sunday, October 25th-Noah’s Ark Community Event at the St. Louis Zoo Living World, lower rotunda, 10:00 am, for children up to age 5 & their families. HEALTH PROGRAM: A St. Louis Chapter Hadassah Signature Health Program about breast health awareness will be presented on Wednesday, October 28th, 7:30-9:00 pm, at the home of Dorit Daphna-Iken, 224 Topton Way. CHILI COOKOFF: The 5th Annual Kosher Chili Cookoff will be Sunday, November 15th at the JCC. Food prep begins at 2:00 pm with judging and community tasting at 5:30 pm. To register call NHBZ at 991-2100, ext 2.

Mishnat Pinchas: Mishnat Pinchas continues on Shabbat Yom Tov starting 5 minutes after Kiddush as we begin our new program:  The study of special English parsha sheets from "MiBereshit" in Israel ("Parents and Children Learn Mibereshit").

Ulpan:This week begins the fifth year of the TMK Ulpan Ivrit at Young Israel (Monday and Tuesday evenings through March.  Encourage Young Israel members to come try it out at the first open class 7 PM on October 12 which will also determine your class level (beginners, intermediate or advanced) (or call Jackie Gerson at 314-997-7257

Beit Midrash for Women- TMK Beit Midrash for Women is at the home of Faye Newman (7916 Stanford), on Wednesdays at 9 am.

Bnei Akiva

Snif Bnei Akiva meets at 4:45 pm at shul on Shmini Atzeret (Oct 10th) for ascavenger hunt. You will be accompanied by your counselors on a scavenger hunt to sukkot in the neighborhood, and will return to shul for mincha. You should be picked up after mincha.

After Sukkot, the Snif will resume at its regular time --- 1 hour beforeMincha (70 mins before that week's candle-lighting time).
