SHABBAT MORNING GROUPS: Thank you to Esti Munk for leading the Shabbat groups this week. The groups will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 am.

KOL HaNA’ARIM TALIT: Please notify Bonnie Drazen at bonteach5@yahoo.com with the new names of boys under the age of 13 and girls under the age of 12 as of Simchat Torah, to be added to last year’s talit. GUEST SPEAKERS:On Shabbat, September 12th, Rabbi Menachem Leibtag will be our Scholar-in-Residence. His topics and times can be found on the attached flyer.

FLOWERS FOR ROSH HASHANAH & SUKKOT: We have an opportunity to beautify our homes for the chaggim. We will be ordering roses (white or mixed blue & white) and mixed flower bouquets for Yom Tom as a fundraiser. The cost will be $25 per dozen/bouquet. UNVEILING: The unveiling for Esther Miller will be on Monday, September 7th, at Chesed Shel Emeth, on White Rd, at 2:30 pm.

COMMUNITY LECTURE: A very special evening with Rabbi Hanoch Teller will be Tuesday, September 8th at the U City Shul (BHH Sha’arei Chesed), at 7:00 pm. His topic is: Achieving Happiness and Avoiding Stress in Life: What You Need for a Successful New Year. $5.00 suggested donation. Refreshments follow the lecture.

YOM TOV CLOTHING SALE: Sunday September 13th, noon – 5:00 pm at the Clothing Tree Boutique, 2538 S. Brentwood Blvd. A percentage of that day’s sales will go to help educate out teens.

Beit Midrash for Women- This week on September 2, 2009, Merav Possick will resume the study of Shmuel Bet. All women are welcome every Wednesday morning, 9 AM, in the home of Faye Newman (7916 Stanford).

Ulpan at Young Israel, taught by Gilat Gastfraind, will occur Monday & Tuesday evenings from October through March (1st semester, October 12th - December 15th; 2nd semester, January 4th - March 9th).
