The drive will be this Sunday, July 19, from 10 am to 2 pm at Bais Abraham, 6910 Delmar. Potential donors must be between the ages of 18-55 and in good general health, and meet some other basic health criteria. The registration process consists of completing some forms, and using a cotton-tipped swab to collect cheek cells which will identify your tissue type. No blood will be drawn. There is no charge to participants, but donations will be accepted. This event is being sponsored by Bais Abraham, B’nai B’rith St. Louis, and DKMS (Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei, German for Bone Marrow Donor Center).

ONCE A WOK – ONCE AGAIN: A full Chinese menu is being offered again this Monday, July 20th, at Kohns (though not affiliated with Kohns) from 6:30-9:00 pm. Note that take-out is available from 4:30-6:00 pm ONLY. Reservations are highly recommended at 314-229-3133 or onceawok@gmail.com.

FOOD SHORTAGE: The Harvey Kornblum Food Pantry is asking for our help. They have had over an 80% increase in clients between January and May of 2009 compared with the same months in 2008. Because of this, they need to restock their shelves more often. The kids are home from school now and the meal programs for students do not operate in the summer. They are in need of most items, but especially: peanut butter, jelly, rice, tuna, juices, macaroni & cheese, and healthy snacks. If you have any questions, please contact Sue Rundblad at 314-812-9307 or srundblad@jfcs-stl.org.
