Young Israel and Torah MiTzion are honored to bring Rav Yuval Cherlow to St. Louis for a special pre-selichot Shabbaton on September 20, on the theme of: “The Teshuva of Eretz Yisrael – Reflections on the Identity of the State.”  Rabbi Cherlow is the Rosh Yeshiva of the Yeshiva Hesder in Petach Tikva, and co-founder of Tzohar.   Please see the flyer for further details, bio and tentative schedule. Guest Speaker: Wednesday, September 17, at 8 PM. Speaker: Dr. Fred Rosner, author of many books and publications and world renowned expert in Jewish Medical Ethics. Community Food Drive

The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry is conducting its annual food drive. Bags are available to take and fill with non-perishable foods and sundries. Please deposit the bags in the box that is in the shul downstairs near the office. This is the largest drive of the year and every little bit helps. Please participate.

 

DON’T BE LEFT OUT: To be added to the Kol HaNa’arim Talit, please notify Bonnie Drazen at bonteach5@yahoo.com Each name is $18. Boys under the age of 13 and girls under the age of 12 as of Simchat Torah, may be included. These names will be added to last year’s talit. No names will be removed from the talit. TMK NEWS

Mishnat Pinchas, the TMK parent/child learning begins 5 minutes after the start of Kiddush downstairs in Young Israel.

Rabbi Chaim Possick presents the Parshat HaShavua shiur 8 AM at Young Israel this Shabbat morning.

The Beit Midrash for Women taught by Merav Possick is at the home of Faye Newman, 7916 Stanford, Wednesdays at 9:00 am.

Torah MiTzion presents our annual Rosh Hashana Parent/Child Learning at Young Israel at 1:00 - 2:30PM on Sunday, September 28th. Two groups (K-4 with Merav, 5-8 with Chaim) followed by a fun activity for all.
