Women’s Shiur: Come and welcome our new TMK shlicha, Merav Possick, who will be giving the shiur this Shabbat, at Young Israel, at 4:30pm. It promises to be a wonderful afternoon.
Speaker: On Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. you are invited to attend a program to commemorate Sarah Adelman's 2nd yahrtzeit. The guest speaker will be Yocheved Schacter, CSW, who will speak on the topic "Can we talk? Biblical and Psychological Responses to Conflict." Minimum donation requested is $18.00 per family. The Special Sponsors luncheon is scheduled at 11:45 a.m. for those who have already made reservations.
PIZZA: NHBZ is having another pizza night during the 9 days. It will be Wednesday Aug 6th from 5pm-7pm. All you can eat pizza, pasta, salad & bread for just $10. Kids 6-12 are $6.00 and under 5 are free.

Save the Date: The Women’s Division will have its opening event on Sunday, September 21st, at Young Israel, from 10:30 am-12:30 pm. The program will be flower arranging. It is open also to all girls age 12 and up. Light refreshments will be served.

SHOW ME THE HOLIDAYS! The long awaited sequel to the Young Israel cookbook is under way. With all of the Yom Tov cooking coming up, we know you are going to be pulling out your best recipes and we want you to share them with us. We are looking for people to contribute their favorite holiday recipes, as well as people to taste, type and edit recipes. Recipes can be emailed to youngisraelrecipe@yahoo.com, and anyone interested in any of the other jobs can contact either Vicki Isakow via isakow@sbcglobal.net or 314-862-5661, or Bonnie Drazen via bonteach5@yahoo.com, or 314-727-3967. When submitting recipes, please let us know to what holiday your recipe pertains and whom to credit. Our goal is to have 200 recipes by August 15th. Get involved and make a difference! Tomchei Shabbos is asking for your help to support their ongoing efforts to ensure our community members have special food for Shabbos. Here’s how you can help: Drop off food any SUNDAY or MONDAY and place in bins under the deck at the Hartstein’s home at 8115 Delmar. Do not make drop-offs any other day of the week, and leave food in the secured plastic bins. Requested items: canned veggies (most important), fruit, soup, desserts, and anything else that you wish to contribute (non-perishables only). Please do not put perishable food or monetary donations in the bin.
