Join us at Paint Me Pottery for an adults-only Motzei Shabbat event of painting, socializing and light refreshments, Saturday, December 1st, 7:30 – 9:30pm, 11215 Manchester Rd. Registration is $10 (paid in advance to Roz Hirschhorn) by Nov. 27th, and you will pay that night for the item you choose to paint (prices range from $8.50-$15). Shabbat Dinner, Friday Evening, November 30th.We invite the entire Shul to join us for Friday night dinner as we welcome our new Shul and community members. We are so pleased to have such an influx of new people who have added wonderful new energy to our Shul!  The deadline for reservations is this coming Sunday (Nov. 25th) and must be prepaid. Please see the flyer for RSVP information or pay through Paypal on the Shul’s website. The cost is $15/adult and $5/child (under bar mitzvah) with a $50 maximum per family.Dinner will be followed at 8 PM by an Oneg Shabbat at the Shul with guest speaker Mr. Stephen Savitsky, President of the Orthodox Union.

The women's division will be catering this event. Anyone who is available to help cook, cut, chop or clean chickens, please join us at the Shul on Thursday, November 29th from 10 am until the job is done!  Thank you, in advance, for your help!  For more info on cooking, please contact Barbara Ast.

TMK News

We welcome the entire Genut Family back to St. Louis.  Please plan to attend a TMK Shabbat Oneg and a special shiur on Shabbat afternoon by Rav Boaz discussing Heter Mechira during the Sabbatical Year in Israel.

Mishnat Pinchas, the Torah MiTzion parent/child learning, begins 10 min after Maariv on Saturday evening, downstairs at Young Israel.

Mother/Daughter Bat Mitzvah Program The Torah MiTzion Bat Mitzvah Program will begin on January 6th, 7:00 - 8:30 PM.  This educational program of 10 classes was developed by Oshra Koren of Matan in Israel. We are the first to offer this unique program in the U.S. ($140, scholarships are available).  Mothers of 6th graders should contact Vardit Teperberg (314 4203696) or Suzanne Sundy (314-420-7880).

Hanukkah Hugs 2007 – Please bring a new, unwrapped gift to Young Israel and brighten the life of a child this Hanukkah Season.  The collection box is located downstairs. Sponsored by the Jewish Family & Children’s Services.

Jewish Family & Children Services WINGS - Lunch & Learn Lecture Series at the Jewish Federation, Nov. 20, 12 PM-1:00 PM, presents CAREGIVERS NEED TLC TOO! THE STRESS FACTOR. Free and open to the public.  For more info or to RSVP, call 314-812-9366.

Women's Tehillim Group:  The women are invited to participate in the reading of the book of Tehillim on Sunday mornings in the zchut of a refuah shelaima for cholim.  We meet at Fiona Kark’s home on 926 Jeanerette from 9:15-10 am.  If you cannot participate in person, call (314) 863-2829 to receive chapters of Tehillim to say at home during that time.  The new telephone number for the Tehillim hotline is (314) 995-7119. This is the number to call to add or remove a name, or to check for updates.
