MAZEL TOV –  To Roz Hirschhorn  upon receiving the Grinspoon Steinhardt  award this week given by (JESNA) Jewish Education Service of America for her excellence in teaching both Judaic and General studies.  Roz received this award at the UJC General Assembly in Nashville.

- To Rabbi Asher & Shira Yablok on the Bris of their son, Menachem.  Mazel tov to the Zeffren and Yablok parents and great grandparents.  Welcome to Asher’s parents Rabbi Binyomin and Aviva Yablok and to Aunt Esther and cousin Ora Klavan, all from Teaneck, NJ.

TMK News

Beit Midrash for Women given this week by our special guest Heftzi Genut at 9:15 AM Wednesday at the home of Faye Newman (7916 Stanford)

We also welcome the entire Genut Family next week.  Plan on attending a TMK Shabbat Oneg and a special shiur on Shabbat afternoon by Rav Boaz discussing Heter Mechira during the Sabbatical Year in Israel.

Torah Mitzion activities,  including Mishnat Pinchas and Derech Eretz ,are canceled this Shabbat, Parshat Vayetze because the staff is attending the national TMK Shabbaton.

Mother/Daughter Bat Mitzvah Program The Torah MiTzion Bat Mitzvah Program will begin on January 6th, 7:00 - 8:30 PM.  This educational program of 10 classes was developed by Oshra Koren of Matan in Israel. We are the first to offer this unique program in the U.S. ($140, scholarships are available).  Mothers of 6th graders should contact Vardit Teperberg (314 4203696) or Suzanne Sundy (314-420-7880).

Chairs – There are folding chairs missing from the social hall.  Please return them.   If you have need to borrow anything from the Shul, please call the office to make arrangements so that we do not call the police to report stolen goods.  Remember, the Shul relies on using its own limited number of chairs and seforim.

Women's Tehillim Group:  The women are invited to participate in the reading of the book of Tehillim on Sunday mornings in the zchut of a refuah shelaima for cholim.  We meet at Fiona Kark’s home on 926 Jeanerette from 9:15-10 am.  If you cannot participate in person, call (314) 863-2829 to receive chapters of Tehillim to say at home during that time.  The new telephone number for the Tehillim hotline is (314) 995-7119.
