The entire shul joins the Women's Division in extending a huge TODAH RABAH to Barbara Drazen and Bonnie Drazen for the beautiful Kol HaN’arim tallit that was inaugurated this past Simchat Torah.  We can tell that a lot of hard work and love went into its creation.  We look forward to filling this tallit with names of the children of our shul in the years to come. Come to the Derech Eretz Sunday Club Opening Event! The Derech Eretz Sunday Club is about to begin in University City and Creve Coeur for children K though 7th grade.  Come meet the Israeli club leaders and madrichim for the opening party at the Epstein Hebrew Academy on Sunday, October 14th, from 10 AM - 12 Noon.  Have fun with Shany Batit and Eliana Smith!

Only a few more chances (Oct 13, 20, 27, Nov 3; before the clock changes) to bring your children (K-6) to the Mesibat Shabbat.  This Special Shabbat Party meets from 5 -6 PM in the Teperberg’s backyard (7925 Delmar) for the Parshat HaShavua chidon-quiz, songs, refreshments and stories.

Join the fourth annual Ulpan Ivrit - 5768 sponsored by Torah MiTzion Kollel held in Young Israel every Tuesday & Wednesday evening.

Semester one from October 9th through  January 9th (13 classes). Semester two from January 15th through April 9th (13 classes) Adult Hebrew classes are taught by Vardit Teperberg on 4 levels. Children's Hebrew classes are taught by the Sherut Leumi girls (Shany and Eliana) from 6:15 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday (beginners) & Wednesday (advanced).  $100 for each semester. Every student receives their own workbook. Scholarships available. Wednesday:  9:15 AM – Weekly Beit Midrash for women given by Vardit Teperberg at the home of Faye Newman 7916 Stanford.

Mishnat Pinchas, the Torah MiTzion parent/child learning program, begins 5 min after the start of Kiddush, downstairs in Young Israel.

Forging Relationships: At Home, At Work, With Friends" is the topic of the forthcoming Barbara Mendelson Community Lecture by Rabbi Dr. Abraham J. Twerski on Tuesday, October 16, 7:30 pm at the JCC Wohl Building auditorium on the Millstone Campus. Part of Chabad's Jewish Living & Learning Series. Save the date:  Sunday, November 4, 2007 for Ohr Atid's First Annual Trivia Night! Do you know the capital of Brazil? Where were the 1964 Olympic Games held?  If you know the answers to these questions (or if you want to know) and are in the mood for a fun evening of trivia, food, games and prizes, you won't want to miss this event. Trivia Night will be held at Clayton Commons. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the games begin at 7:00 PM.   Pull together teams/tables of 8-10 players at $18 per person (or perhaps you wish to sponsor a table for $180).
