MAZEL TOV - to Sam Engel on completing his residency in otolaryngology.  Also mazal tov to the entire Garbow family on the marriage of Shula to Moshe!

 

KIDNAPPED CHAYALEI ZAHAL- Gilad ben Aviva (Shallit), Ehud ben Malka (Goldwasser), and Eldad ben Tova (Regev)

 

REFUAH SHELAIMAH –Rafael Dovid Grunberger (ben Bracha), Ruven Kirshner (ben Tovah Chaya),  Zev Eliezer (ben Chaya Shaindel), and Malka bas Chaya.

 

CONDOLENCES –  to Harriet Lefton, Daniel Lefton, Charles Lefton and Phyllis Sunshine on the passing of their beloved husband, father and brother, Rabbi Jerry Lefton.  The Lefton family will be sitting shiva at 917 Swarthmore. May the Lefton family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

ONGOING TORAH MITZION ACTIVITIES

Now is the time to register your children (entering Kindergarten thru SEVENTH grade) for Derech Eretz Camp
Summer 2007— 3 weeks of FUN — July 30—Aug 17
Announcing a special summer concert by Shooby Doob Shloimy during the second week of camp
Also, there will be a special program for those campers entering 6th and 7th grades: an overnight Israeli camping trip experience led by Uria Teperberg.

Parents:  Please remind your kids NOT to cut through the fence that surrounds the synagogue.   When we built the shul, we agreed that we would NOT take a short cut through yards and vacated streets.  Help us live up to our word.

Have you forgotten something? – an item of clothing or shoes. You can claim missing items on the coat rack downstairs. If not claimed by July 2nd, these items will be donated.

Save These Dates!

Sunday evening, July 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Young Israel.  There will be a program sponsored by the Sarah Adelman Memorial Fund, commemorating the Yahrtzeit of Sarah Adelman, A”H, featuring Rabbi Tzvi H. Weinreb, Executive Vice President of the O-U. The title of Rabbi Weinreb’s talk will be announced at a later date            

 

Friday and Saturday-July 27-28th, Shabbat Nachamu, Parshat Vaetchanan.  Renowned contemporary artist, Tobi Kahn, will be scholar-in-residence for a Shabbaton in memory of Ruth Fredman. Tobi Kahn will speak after davening and at Melave Malka.  Please see flyer in lobby.
