Torah MiTzion Kollel and Epstein Hebrew Academy Drama Club
present "The Wave" at the New Jewish Theatre at the JCC in an evening dedicated to the Genocide occurring in Darfur June 5th & 6th, Two shows each night: 6 PM and 8 PM Tickets $10, call 314 944-7856. "The Wave" presents a story of a teacher who cannot answer the questions of his high school students about the Holocaust.  Therefore, he starts an experiment with his students to show what it may have felt like living in Nazi Germany.

MAZEL TOV – to Talia Zeffren upon her graduation and upcoming marriage and to Eitan Zeffren on his upcoming graduation.  Mazel tov to the parents, Dov & Tziona Zeffren and grandparents Noah & Marilyn Wolff, and Lester & Matilda Zeffren Welcome to all the relatives and friends who have come to celebrate with the Zeffrens this Shabbos.

-to Rabbi & Mrs. Bienenfeld  -- their children, Saralea & Eliyahu Dershowitz, gave birth to her sixth boy!  Mother and baby are fine. With G-d's help, the bris will be this coming Sunday.

CONDOLENCES – to Michael Oberlander on the passing of his beloved grandfather Paul Oberlander, who passed away early Tuesday morning.  The funeral was Tuesday afternoon, in Chicago.  May the Oberlander family find comfort among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

YOUNG ISRAEL ANNUAL DINNER – Our Shul Dinner invitations are out!  Let’s all get our responses and ads in quickly, to support our hard working dinner and Journal committees, ably headed by Bonnie Drazen, Jessie Lefton and Rachel Shapiro.  Let’s be sure to invite all our friends and family in the greater community!!  This will be a night to remember!

 

Save the date! –July 27th, Shabbat Nachamu, Parshat Vaetchanan.  Renowned contemporary artist, Tobi Kahn, will be scholar-in-residence for a Shabbaton in memory of Ruth Fredman. Tobi Kahn will speak after davening and at Melave Malka.  More details to follow.
