Derech Eretz Sunday Club at Young Israel:   9:30-10:30 AM (K-2nd grade) 10:30-11:30 AM (3rd -7th grade)

 

‘V’Shinantem L’Vanecha every Motzei Shabbat  join TMK for our new parent-child learning program (K-6th grade) @ 6:30-7:15 PM during the winter at Young Israel.  Uria & Vardit Teperberg are providing the study guides in Pirkei Avot.

 

TMK Bat Mitzvah Program continues this Sunday, Dec. 10 at 7-8:30 PM and will present “Bruria”.                                        

 

Important Note to Parents: Parents are reminded that they are responsible for their children while on Shul property.  We ask that every child be either with a parent or in one of the supervised youth programs listed above.  This is essential for the safety of our children and the protection of Shul property.  Thanks for your cooperation.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

 

NCSYJR NCSY Pre-Chanukah Party (Grades 5-8) Bring a smile to a young child’s face. Come celebrate the upcoming holiday and help disadvantage children at the same time!  We will enjoy special Chanukah games and ice cream treats. The cost is an unwrapped toy, game or stuffed animal which will be given to the Chanukah Hugs for Kids program of JF&CS.  Sat. Night Dec. 9th at Ben & Jerry’s on Olive at 7:30-8:45PM. 

SR NCSY Our Electricity is Back!!!! And That Means It’s Time To Warm Up at SR NCSY ONEG. (Grade 8 is invited) All high school students are invited to come chill at the Rovinsky home for an Oneg Shabbat this coming Friday Night.  Come relax with your friends and imbibe some “Holy Shabbath Air” and Selina & Avi Rovinsky’s famous chulent.  Dec. 9th at  8 PM. Free!

ERUV – This Shabbat is the 12th Anniversary of the establishment of the St. Louis Community Eruv.  Please support the Eruv by sending your tax-deductible contributions to Joel Garbow, Treasurer, St. Louis Community Eruv, 7947 Cornell Ave., St. Louis, MO 63130.  Thank you to the following volunteers who repaired the Eruv damage from last week’s ice storm:  Oz Ben-Shmuel, Joel Garbow, Michael Oberlander, Moshe Sharon, Alan Haber, Mickey Ariel, and Rabbis Hyim Shafner, Hersey Novack and Avi Orlow.

 

B.Y.H.S. - Boys varsity basketball team will play against the Missouri Military Academy this Sat. at 7:15PM at Epstein.

JEWISH FOOD PANTRY’S ANNUAL DRIVE - The food pantry serves hundreds of families in the Jewish and non-Jewish community and is the only local food pantry that provides kosher food on request to its clients. It is important that we support this endeavor and help the less fortunate in our own community.  Collection boxes are located downstairs.
