Important Note to Parents: Parents are reminded that they are responsible for their children while on Shul property. We ask that every child be either with a parent or in one of the supervised youth programs listed above. This is essential for the safety of our children and the protection of Shul property. MAZEL TOV – to all our children entering Kindergarten and First Grade & their families who are participating in our Shabbos Chinuch celebration. UPCOMING SHABBOS SPEAKERS AT YOUNG ISRAEL – Nov. 11, Rabbi Yosef Polstein, Camp Director of Yeshivas HaKayitz (Skokie) and Rosh Yeshiva atYeshivas Beis HaMidrash LaTorah – Hebrew Theological College will give the guest D’var Torah on Shabbos morning and a shiur Shabbos afternoon entitled “Life is a Laughing Matter: The Different Uses of ‘Tzchok’ in the Parsha”.
Nov. 18, Rabbi Jeremy Kagan, principal of Midreshet Tehillah seminary in Jerusalem and author of The Jewish Self: Recovering Spirituality in the Modern World, will be our guest. Rabbi Kagan will deliver the D’var Torah on Shabbos morning and present a shiur entitled: “Critique of Pure Treason: Understanding the Sin of Understanding” on Shabbos afternoon.

JEWISH FOOD PANTRY’S ANNUAL DRIVE - The food pantry serves hundreds of families in the Jewish and non-Jewish community and is the only local food pantry that provides kosher food on request to its clients. It is important that we support this endeavor and help the less fortunate in our own community. Collection boxes are located downstairs.
