WELCOME: Young Israel is honored to welcome Rabbi Kenneth Brander to St. Louis.  Rabbi Brander is the Dean of the Center for Jewish Future (CJF) at Yeshiva University and Rabbi emeritus of the Boca Raton Synagogue.  We hope the membership will take advantage of the opportunities to hear Rabbi Brander over the course of Shabbos.  Please see the attached flyer for a schedule of his talks.

Derech Eretz Sunday ClubCome to the kickoff on Sunday, Oct. 22nd, ages K - 7th grade at the Epstein Hebrew Academy at 4:00 PM.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

 

PLEASE DONATE TO THE JEWISH FOOD PANTRY’S ANNUAL DRIVE - The food pantry serves hundreds of families in the Jewish and non-Jewish community and is the only local food pantry that provides kosher food on request to its clients. It is important that we support this endeavor and help the less fortunate in our own community

 

SHLOSHIM MEMORIAL SERVICE There will be a shloshim memorial service for Rabbi Maruice Lyons on Monday, Oct. 23rd at 7:30 PM at the Agudas Israel.

 

PROJECT CHAZON Our Children’s Hashkafah Questions – What Are They Really Asking?  Presented by Rabbi Daniel Mechanic, Director, Project Chazon on Mon., Oct. 30th at 8:00 PM at Young Israel. For men & women.  Donation:  $5.  Please see bulletin board for more information.
