Urgent Community Refuah Sheleima for Reuvain Kirshner

In the merit of a refuah sheleima for Reuvain Kirshner (3 year old son of Rabbi Menachem & Tova Kirshner who has been diagnosed with cancer), everyone is invited to join the Mishmeres Shmiras Halashon initiative for the next 2 weeks: September 12 to 25. People are asked to guard their speech for a 2 hour period each day. If you can help with this important community mitzvah please call Shira Swidler at 727-1732, and she will assign you your 2 hour time period.

DISCUSSION OF ORGAN TRANSPLANTSAdinah Raskas will be the featured speaker at “A New Year—a New Life: a Discussion of Organ Transplants” on Wed., Sept. 13th at 7:30 PM at the Brodsky Library in the Jewish Federation Koplow Bldg. Rabbi Hyim Shafner will join in the discussion of organ transplants. Admission to the program is free to members of the Friends of the Brodsky Library and $6 per person for the general public.
